Mumbai: The First Pilot CTI Programme


The First Pilot CTI Program conducted in Mumbai In June 2013 was meant for training the trainers. Considering the intricacies of the NRMCA, USA training module, RMCMA management decided to have experts from NRMCA visit India and conduct the pilot training program.

Two renowned experts, Dr. Colin Lobo and Dr. Karthik Obla both from NRMCA played the role of master resource persons for the Mumbai program which saw enthusiastic participation from senior officers from several member companies. Almost all the big concrete manufacturing companies sent their senior functionaries for the unique opportunity to undergo CTI programs. Not just from Mumbai, professional from other cities also participated.

The participants got a unique opportunity to interact with experts from USA and receive guidance for solving RMC specific challenges.

Among the participants were representative from ACC, Lafarge, UltraTech, RMC India, Godrej, RDC, IJM and ICOMAT.

The full time, 4-day class-room training was followed by an examination on the 5th day. Both these activities were conducted by RMCMA. The assessment of examination was done by NRMCA which graded the candidates and issues certificates.

CTI Hyderabad


Twenty four professionals participated in the third Concrete Technologist – India (CTI) training opportunity organized this time in Hyderabad. The program was organized by NRMCA – RMCMA February 7 -11, 2015.


CTI Bengaluru

India’s IT capital Bagaluru is home to a large number of big and small construction projects in the country.

To take care of the quality of concrete, there is a strong need for well trained engineers/other staff at every plant/project sites/consultants offices. With a view to bridging this gap the CTI Program was organized in Bangaluru.in June 2014.

A select group of 20 industry professionals attended the course in Bangalore in June 2014.

The faculty this time was from within India, more particularly from within RMCMA and its member companies.

The participation from the industry for this program was overwhelming. The participants were from the RMC plants, Consultants, builders and from admixtures companies. The organizers derived a sense of satisfaction by doing their bit towards encouraging quality construction.

As this course gains in popularity, RMCMA plans to take the CTI course to other regions and cities in India.


Upcoming CTI Programs


As the competitive environment in the ready-mixed is growing, companies are realizing that the skills and knowledge of their employees would be critical for growth. RMCMA expects that the response to the CTI program will grow in future.
